Meghalaya House - Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Road
The Meghalaya Houses are primarily meant for the use during official tours of dignitaries and officers of the Government of Meghalaya.
The Meghalaya House located at 9, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Road was established in the year 1982. It covers an area measuring about 1.99 acres. It has a total of 5(five) buildings; 3(three) non-residential & 2(two) residential. The non-residential buildings cater to the VVIPs, top ranking officials and others from the State of Meghalaya. It has a total of 22(twenty two) rooms which include VVIP suites, VIP rooms, Ordinary rooms, the Conference Hall, the VIP Lounge, Office of the Resident Commissioner, Meghalaya House and the Business Center. Apart from the Cafeteria for the guests and a fitness centre the premises also includes the office of the PWD(Building) Meghalaya House Sub Division, office of the Tourist Officer and Meghalaya Basin Development Authority(MBDA).
The residential buildings includes 8(eight) nos. of staff quarters meant for the Grade III employees and 18 (Eighteen) nos. of quarters meant for the Grade IV employees.
